General Rules

01 — Be respectful

Be kind to others.
Homophobia, transphobia, racism, harassment, stalking, bullying & generally unkind or illegal behaviours won't be tolerated.
If you are experiencing any issues with another player, please keep it out of the general server / public & instead speak with a staff member in DMs. If you are unsure about who is part of the staff team, please took at the pinned staff intros in the introductions channel in the discord server.

02 — Content & rating

This server is intended for 16+ players & server members, so the staff team politely asks that you keep NSFW content away from the server. This means no sexual content whatsoever, & to keep gore / violent art depictions under spoilers with correct content warnings.
If you’re uncertain about what staff will & will not count as NSFW, feel free to DM a staff member.
Do your best to keep on topic with the channel you’re in, and do not spam!
Please be mindful of the subjects you talk about in the server. We will have a Topic Blacklist available, meaning that if there is any content or topics that may be a trigger for a player of the server, they will be allowed to DM a mod to have the topic put down on the list.

03 — Other

Staff politely request that all drama (related or not related) to the server or other groups remain outside of the server, & kept in DMs or between those involved & staff members. We will also politely request that there is no venting in the public server, but welcome players to come to staff or friends for venting purposes (with permission). We want cc to be a place to escape stress, not a cause!
Additionally, please do not share false information — the staff are there to answer questions, & while we appreciate you trying to help, answering things incorrectly can cause unnecessary issues so we ask that you refrain for simplicities sake!

Roleplaying Rules

01 — Roleplay sample.

This is required in the creation of your character so that the admins can see how literate you are. You don’t need to be amazing at writing to get accepted in the group, but as long as you have a grasp of how to roleplay correctly, then you should be fine. We are a community-based group, after all, and encourage roleplaying!

02 — Metagaming.

Involves a player mixing the information that they know OOC & their character actually knows IC.
Please ensure that you don’t mix up the two; your character will only know what they have been explicitly told / any information that has been shared via gatherings / after significant events have happened & all information is common knowledge.

03 — Godmodding.

Involves giving your characters unprecedented skill in everything that they do. yes, they’re fictional murder cats but we wish to maintain semi-realism — they’re still cats, after all.
Every character has its strengths & weaknesses, just like us. We don’t all have the strength of Hercules nor the speed of Flash, so neither should your cats.

04 — Powerplaying.

Involves a player taking control of another player’s character ( most usually in battle scenarios but can include others ).
Simple: you cannot do this. Another player’s character is not yours — you have your own. If you wish for something specific to happen in a scenario, ask / suggest to the other player OR you can play a game of chance & get tatsu involved to determine what happens!

05 — Retconning.

Involves changing / erasing parts of the group’s lore / history.
We understand that sometimes you wish to make super unique characters with crazy backstories or you wished for something to happen when the opposite did, but the group’s lore & history is there for a reason. It provides some stability & rules to create a reasonable environment for everyone & their characters. We will have some periods where rogue histories are allowed in which you might be able to be a little looser with your character’s backstories, though this will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Character Guidelines

01 — Design.

Pre-looks — We do allow pre-looks of character designs (not for biographies) but they must be sent via a ticket.
Semi-realistic — Designs must have realistic properties but do not necessarily have to be fully based on particular breeds (i.e. no sparkle cats, though colour hues are allowed).
Design changes — You must purchase a design change beforehand, & then open a ticket in the discord server alongside a receipt of your design change purchase, alongside the old design for the staff to approve.

02 — Ages.

Ages can vary, but wild cats tend to live for about 13-16 years. Adults can become elders early due to life-changing injuries.
- Kit: 0-6 moons
- Adolescent: 6-12 moons
- Adult: 12-96 moons
- Elder: 96-156+ moons

03 — Choosing a Clan.

Your first character must start in a Clan. All characters after this may start wherever. Additional lore can be read from the below links, though this isn't necessary.

04 — Misc.

New Characters — You are allowed 10x characters slots at this moment in time, though you can access 12x character slots if you boost the server twice. New characters must be sent to the admins with the same form as the first character & will be reviewed just the same. If you have a High Rank, their character slot is free and doesn't count towards your total character limit (e.g. you'd technically have 11x character slots if you have a HR).
Killing Characters — You can choose to kill off a character at any moment in time, though only completing a Death / Retirement piece will allow you to keep your purchased character slot. If you don't complete this piece, you will have to repurchase the slot.
Switching Clans — Characters have to be active within the group for at least three months before players are able to purchase a Clan switch. This doesn’t include characters that need a Clan switch for their backstory, only those that plan to switch after they’ve been accepted.
Scars / Injuries — A character is allowed to have minor scars without assessment, but severe scars / injuries that affect their quality of life will have to be requested & approved by the admins. Bans must be bought.

Guardians & Orphan Kits — If a player wishes to bring in a character not part of a litter, they must purchase Orphan Kit & have a guardian for their kit character. Ask around to see if another player will be a guardian for the kit! The kit must be at least two moons old & cannot be a first character. Someone wishing to be a guardian can also buy Orphan Kit and hold a tryout like you would for a normal litter.
